To build a society that systematically supports men as actively involved, caring fathers, we need action to occur on many fronts. We undertake a range of projects across our policy workstreams.
But core to our work is also providing support to others – helping to build capacity among public services and employers through a focus on evidence-based, father-inclusive services, interventions and resources.​​

Our Champions training offers an impactful and in-depth learning including a 10-hour self-study portfolio and a third day of action planning.

comprehensive strategy for building, sustaining, and promoting a father
inclusive service, built on a solid knowledge and evidence base – ready to
champion fathers within their service
Impact
In the last two years we’ve trained 180 Fatherhood Champions in ten local authorities. Our Champions undertake three days’ training, getting a thorough grounding in the UK evidence base about fathers and fatherhood, going on a ‘deep dive’ to explore and unpick their own attitudes and beliefs, delivering a presentation to their fellow trainees, and developing an action plan for transforming practice in their local service. After completing their training, the Champions join our national network, with access to their own private website and Linkedin group.
