Hit the Ground Crawling Discounts and Conference

Hit the Ground Crawling (HTGC) is a groundbreaking antenatal training programme for expectant and new fathers, launched in the UK by the Fatherhood Institute last year.

Facilitated by trained midwives, health visitors or Children’s Centre staff, HTGC gives groups of dads-to-be the opportunity to learn childcare skills from new fathers and their babies. To date, we have trained more than 250 midwives, health visitors and Children’s Centre staff in 15 English local authorities (and one in Wales) to run HTGC, which gives groups of dads-to-be the opportunity to learn childcare skills from new dads and their babies.

  • Pat Djemli (Senior Manager, E Staffordshire Early Years & Childcare Unit) and practitioners from E Staffs
  • Claire Fraser, the researcher who has conducted an independent evaluation of HTGC in Staffordshire, and
  • David Bartlett, Fatherhood Institute Deputy Chief Executive.
