Courses
The Fatherhood Institute offers a comprehensive range of off-the-shelf courses aimed at service managers and frontline workers from a variety of settings. Popular courses include:
- Working with fathers in early years and children’s centres
- Working with young fathers
- Working with diverse fathers
- Delivering father-inclusive parenting services
Who are the courses for?
Our courses are for all managers, staff and volunteers working in children’s centres, maternity services, child protection, schools and family learning services, Connexions, child and adolescent mental health services, teenage pregnancy services and youth offending teams.
What are the courses like?
We offer courses over one, two or three days, depending on your requirements. The format for each course reflects the national policy agenda and our extensive knowledge of what works, but we also consult with you in depth at the outset to tailor your course to your specific needs. In all our courses we show you how to develop and implement a whole-team approach to engaging with fathers, and how to use the Dads Included Test to assess and improve your services.
All our courses are delivered by experienced Fatherhood Institute trainers and include a mixture of taught sessions, workshop exercises in small groups, and large group discussions.
