Training brochure

Many ‘official’ guidelines and policy documents call on family services to engage more, and more effectively, with fathers. Sometimes, as in the case of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence antenatal guideline (updated in August 2021), engagement is even referred to as mandatory.
But in reality, routine, systematic engagement and work with fathers by mainstream services (rather than, for example, via one-off, usually time-limited, projects) remains a rarity.
We’re here to help. Our training courses, parenting programmes and other support can help you turn father-inclusive practice from nice-in-theory to effective-in-reality: whether you work in maternity, health, family services, early help, social care, Family hubs, or early years and education.
