UK dads of autistic children invited to share their experiences

26 June 2014

Very little is known about the experiences and involvement of British fathers of children with autism. Carol Potter, a senior researcher at Leeds Metropolitan University is running the UK’s first National Survey of Fathers of Children with Autism (children aged 19 or under) to find out more about their vital parenting role. The findings will help to develop better services for fathers and their families in future.

The research is being funded by The Leverhulme Trust and has been ethically approved by Leeds Metropolitan University. If this isn’t directly relevant to you, do please pass it on. The survey should take about half an hour to complete.

If anyone would prefer a paper copy of the survey or has any questions about the research, please e-mail Carol at fathersresearch(at)leedsmet.ac.uk.
