Hiding in the Pub to Cutting the Cord – Warwick University study on dads’ childbirth experiences
Led by Dr Laura King at the University of Warwick Centre for the History of Medicine, the project aims to uncover why there has been such a dramatic change in fathers’ involvement in childbirth; to consider what implications this has had for fathers, mothers and babies, and the relationships between them; and to explore the ways in which hospital policy and social attitudes have influenced people’s behaviour. The project also includes a number of public events, including creative writing workshops for dads. Find out more here.
