Fathers’ Story Week makes it big in the Ukraine
Around 250,000 children are estimated to have taken part in Fathers’ Story Week in some shape or form last week. So we already knew it was a success… but there’s something special about our idea becoming famous thousands of miles away, in the Ukraine.
You’ll have to take our word for it, but if you watch the clip at this link, you’ll be treated to a 2 minute story about Fathers’ Story Week from the news programme “Podrobnosti” on INTER TV – the Ukraine’s top popular channel, whose audience numbers 40 million.
The clip features children, dads and teachers from Smithy Street Primary School in Tower Hamlets, east London – and Fatherhood Institute chief executive Rob Williams. All saying very sensible things, translated beautifully into Ukrainian…we hope.
