Could you be a Think Fathers Champion?

20 March 2009

The Government is looking for agencies who are working well with fathers, to contribute to its Think Fathers campaign.

On 25 March the Department for Children, Schools and Families will run a Rallying Event in central London to promote Think Fathers among employers, children’s organisations and key public services. And on the same day it will launch a website, www.think-fathers.org, through which you can contribute to the campaign.

From that date, you will be able to use the website to:

  •   apply to become a Think Fathers Champion
  •   sign up to receive Think Fathers guidance
  •   share your experiences of engaging with dads
  •   read about other agencies’ best practice
  •   register for a ‘summit event’ to celebrate fatherhood in June

You can also get involved in the Think Fathers media campaign, including a regional dads’ ‘shed tour’ and other high profile publicity opportunities.

Please note: the Think Fathers website is not live yet. It is scheduled to go live on 25 March.
