Balls calls on employers to give dads a break

23 June 2009

Children’s Secretary Ed Balls is calling on employers to make more time for fathers so they can be more involved in their children’s lives.

The BBC said Mr Balls wants firms to be prepared for dads to take special leave or attend school events, as the Fatherhood Institute’s poll showed that fathers want to play an increasing role in their children’s health and education but would like more support to help them do so.
