International Review of Parental Leave Policies
The 2008 edition of the International Review of Parental Leave Policies and Research, produced by the International Network on Leave Policies and published for the Network by the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (DBERR), is now available online.
This is a very useful work of reference, especially at a time when parental leave is high on the policy agenda, and provides fascinating insights into how a wide range of countries are tackling these, and related, issues. This edition includes:
- articles on leave policies in central and eastern Europe, including debates about:-
~ the length of leave for women
~ workplace support for parents
~ fathers’ use of leave
- a cross-national overview of leave policies, recent policy developments and take-up of leave by mothers and fathers
- detailed information on leave policies, recent and proposed developments, take-up of leave and publications about leave from 25 countries.
Printed copies of the review should be available soon.
