Dad’s Day – A Father’s Journey: Exploring being the Dad of a Child with Special Needs

This is a day just for dads of children with special needs/disabilities, It will be led by the famous Everest explorer, Stephen Venables. Stephen will relate his adventures on Everest to the journey of fatherhood. Stephen’s son, Ollie, had Autistic Spectrum Disorder and sadly, died of leukaemia three years ago. His book, “Ollie” has been widely praised.
The day will conclude with a session led by Barry Carpenter, also a Dad, on engaging fathers. This is a must for any dad rearing a child with special needs. Further details can be found on the following website:
