Supporting ethnic minority dads

Published: 4 May 2007

Overcoming the Barriers: Finding New Solutions is the title of a national conference for parenting practitioners, focusing on how to raise the educational achievements of black and minority ethnic children and young people.

The event, which will take place in London on 6 July, will include a keynote speech from BBC newsreader George Alagiah, as well as sessions specifically on working with black and minority ethnic fathers, and more generic workshops on approaches to parenting support.

For more details about the conference email Charanjit Kang or telephone 01438 723056; or visit the Parenting UK website.
