New European fatherhood website
A new European website on men and fatherhood for professionals in the field was launched in February 2007.
The aim of the website, European fatherhood, is to promote knowledge and good practice to assist professionals in supporting involved, caring fathering. This is done by presenting models of support for ‘good fatherhood’, that is fathers’ strong bonds to their children and gender equality.
The content of the website is divided into the following seven topics: Political/Legislative, Psychological, Education, Employment, Social, Health, and Research; and the website is structured around four different sections: Knowledge, Best practice, Future, and Resources.
The website has been developed by a team of psychologists from the Danish capital Copenhagen, and is financed by the European Commission under the Community Framework Strategy on Gender Equality, under the agreement: Men at Work Achieving Gender Equality.
