Music and film project for young dads
DNA Mix is a project based in London for young dads who are interested in music, film and radio. The project gives young dads the opportunity to make and promote their own music, and gain radio and film industry skills. The project has links with the BBC, MTV and new record label RAW.
The organisers say: ‘We are interested in the stories young fathers have to tell. We realise there is some tough stuff happening to young dads and some great stuff as well. It can be heaven and hell….. We know and we need others to know so young dads get recognition!’
DNA Mix is holding an event on 15 September, at the Blue Hut, from 2-6pm. Young dads interested in finding out more should email David Holloway or visit the DNA Mix myspace site.
Bodies supporting the event include the Ideas Foundation, In-Volve, City YMCA, West London YMCA and the Sky Partnership.
