DVD resource to aid learning about fatherhood
The ‘Lads as Dads’ pack, produced by South Lanarkshire Home School Partnership, has been developed to explore the role of a dad from the perspective of a variety of young people.
The DVD footage examines the attitudes and values of a range of age groups about fatherhood and the qualities that make a ‘good’ dad, from primary school children to young fathers. The resource pack is designed to allow staff to engage pupils in a meaningful examination of the realities of becoming a parent, with a range of interactive activity sheets.
As a flexible resource, the pack is primarily aimed at secondary school pupils, however it can have a number of uses from small group work sessions with young people to working with groups of parents.
If you are interested in finding out more about this project or purchasing a copy of the resource (£25 for DVD and photocopiable workpack) call 01698 727653 or email Fiona Robertson.
