There is growing awareness of men as victims of violence, often in their own homes, and services to help them are growing. These are mainly in the form of advice and support lines.

Respect runs a phoneline providing information and advice for perpetrators of domestic violence, practitioners, partners and others who would like information.

Men’s Advice Line
Helpline for male victims of domestic violence, provides information and emotional support.

Respect has also produced an important directory which lists domestic violence perpetrator programmes and associated support servicces in the UK. Currently there are only programmes for men who are violent or abusive to their female partner, but hopefully programmes for those in same-sex relationships and work with women who are violent to men will soon be developed.
