Strengthening families, strengthening communities

The Race Equality Foundation is looking for people to train as facilitators for a 13-session programme for parents and carers, focusing on the positive and negative aspects of the current issues around parenting, and giving them an opportunity to decide what is useful and what works for them.

The programme is for parents and carers who want to learn ways to enhance their ability to bring up children who are mentally, emotionally and socially competent to deal with the present and future, while still maintaining family and cultural values.

The facilitator training, which will run from 20 to 24 November, costs £900 – but free places are available to voluntary sector organisations on a first come, first served basis.

For more details contact Cassius or Vanessa Francis on 0121 452-1977 or sfscbirmingham@hotmail.co.uk.
