Delivering Effective Sexual Health Services: Tackling the Sexual Health Crisis in the UK
Thursday 22nd June 2006 • Central London
Delivering Effective Teenage Pregnancy Services: Targeting Support, Prevention and Reproductive Care
Friday 23rd June 2006 • Central London
The UK is experiencing a sustained and alarming increase in the number of people affected by STIs/HIV, particularly amongst young people aged between 15-24. Statistics published by Department of Health and other agencies indicate a rising tide of cases against which health services are struggling to cope. The situation will only deteriorate as demand for services outstrips the resources and capabilites of our health service.
Capita’s timely and unique conference brings together experts and practitioners to discuss and analyse the capacity of the health sector and the National Strategy alongside associated issues of education and stigma. It has taken over 20 years for Britain to build a National Strategy: is this too little too late? How effective can a joined up approach be in stemming the tide of sexual health problems? Speakers will combat these and other key questions to give delegates the tools and information necessary to deal with the UK’s sexual health crisis.
