Searching for DAD: Exploring Muslim Fatherhood
Fathers Direct would like to invite you to attend “Searching for Dad: Exploring Muslim Fatherhood” a unique event which brings together academics and practitioners from the UK and the USA to explore the nature of fatherhood in contemporary Muslim Culture.
This is a rare opportunity to participate in debate, listen to key speakers on Fatherhood and on Islam and to explore how to engage British Muslim Fathers in our communities and support them as they raise and educate their children as citizens of a rapidly changing world.
Fathers Direct have worked together with An Nisa Muslim Women’s organisation for two years to discover what British Muslim dads think and feel about bringing up children in Britain today. The conference is a result of this process and will present the conclusions of our findings.
All participants will receive free copies of our beautifully illustrated and informative, new publication for practitioners on working with Muslim fathers.
To book please download a booking form and return to Humera Khan at the address on the form.
A number of bursaries are available for small voluntary sector organisations.
