Four Fathers: Book and Roadshow
In their book Four Fathers, authors Ray French, James Nash, Tom Palmer and John Siddique explore their relationships with their fathers, and share their own experiences of fatherhood.
Blake Morrison, whose own 1993 account of his father’s life and death And When Did You Last See Your Father? won the J. R. Ackerley Prize and the Esquire/Volvo/Waterstone’s Non-Fiction Book Award, has described the book as ‘a fascinating double-take on the experience of being fathered and then becoming a father yourself – eight short tales full of wit, pathos and insight’.
The four authors have been discussing fatherhood with audiences at libraries and literary venues. Some forthcoming events include the Litup Literature Festival in Kendal on Friday 22 September, Pontefract Library on Monday 16th October, and Chapel Allerton Library on Thursday 2 November.
