This conference will focus on translating policy aspirations into effective practice, demonstrating how the inclusion of fathers and male carers can improve outcomes for children and young people

All participants are invited to take part in the North East Father Work Forum Event taking place immediately following this conference. This will be a unique opportunity for delegates to attend a series of outcome driven workshops based on the theme of Connecting Policy and Practice.

Who is this conference for?

Policy-makers, researchers and senior managers from all the disciplines, policy areas and agencies in the field of Children’s Services.

Aims
To present learning from 10 years of the Children North East work to include fathers and male carers.

To demonstrate the links between policy and examples of good practice and to provide evidence about outcomes for children and young people.

To create an opportunity for managers and practitioners to network and share information.

Outcomes
To provide managers with information about how to translate National Government policy into local policy, practice and targets.
To provide practitioners with a clear understanding of how these policies can be translated into action.
