The ICC Health Dept offers a very comprehensive Guide to an Islamic Diet. This covers Halal, Haram and Zabiha food in Islam. The guide includes definitions of terms and detailed explanations. There is also a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section, which corrects common misnomers and errors. The ICC Heath Dept also offers the following events, activities & guidelines: Immigration, Health fairs, Muslim Traders Food Guide, Muslim Shoppers Food Guide.

The Islamic Centre, England caters for the cultural, social and emotional needs of Muslim communities living outside a Muslim country. The Islamic Centre of England was officially opened in 1998. Since it’s establishment the Islamic Centre of England has become a landmark in the propagation of Islamic teachings and religious awareness. It has established itself as an educational centre for those who intend to increase their knowledge of Islamic principles and cultural values and therefore, helping to strengthen the social structure of the community. The Centre is rooted in the Shi’a Islamic tradition and provides counselling and support in all areas of family life including: pre-marital counselling, marital contracts, marital relationships, parenting.

Birmingham Central Mosque has become a focal point for the Birmingham Muslim community. The mosque is used for events, meetings, lectures, studies and community and educational purposes.

Opened in 1889, the Shah Jehan Mosque is the oldest purpose built mosque in Britain. It was commissioned by Dr Gottlieb Wilhelm Leitner to provide a place of worship for Muslim students at the nearby Oriental Institute. The Mosque was built in 1889 with the generous support of the Begum of Bhopal. Shah Jehan Mosque is the focus for Muslims in the area and plays an important role in the community life of the town. It continues to welcomes visitors and worshippers alike.
