The Voice of the Child: Putting Children First
Children Law UK and CAFCASS Present a one day conference
The Voice of the Child: Putting Children First
Regent’s College Conference Centre, Regent’s Park Inner Circle, London NW1 4NS
9 December 2005
Registration: 9.30 am – 10.00 am
Seminar: 10.00 am – 4.00 pm
This major, multi-disciplinary conference will be an essential training day for social workers, family law solicitors and barristers, contact centre workers, magistrates, district judges, court clerks, bench legal managers, faith groups, child protection officers, psychiatrists, psychologists, children’s reporters, children’s guardians, adoption agencies and all court users.
The morning session will address the overall welfare needs and development of the child. In the afternoon the conference will focus on the five key outcomes from ‘Every Child Matters’ and examine what has been acheived so far. A conference report will be produced and issued to all delegates, providing an accurate record of the day and will be an in-valuable reference tool for working for the best interests of children.
One of the aims of the event is to provide delegates with practical tools to use in their daily work. A secondary aim is to provide a platform whereby all delegates can exchange ideas and experiences and discuss practical problems in a safe environment.
