No slap, just tickle – domestic violence comedy benefit

Published: 8 November 2005

‘Tender’ (a project of UNTIL THE VIOLENCE STOPS) invite you to take part in No Slap, Just Tickle – Tender’s annual ‘stand-up against domestic violence’ comedy event. The event is taking place on Sunday the 27th of November at the CC Club, Piccadilly Circus, and will feature some of the UK’s funniest male comedians speaking out against violence against young people and women. And it won’t just be stand-up comedy – the event is a Pub Olympics spectacular, with teams of comedians and punters competing at pool, table football and giant Scalextric, all culminating in a giant comedy quiz! This is one night of laughter and entertainment, to help bring the issue of domestic violence out from behind closed doors and into the open. Team tickets are £25 and will guarantee a chance to play at the pub games. You can either create your own team of up to six friends or co-workers, or ask to be included on one of our other teams. For just £15 you can be a spectator to the event, to watch our comedians, the London Metropolitan Police, Surrey Cricket Club and our guests compete at the games, and to sit back and enjoy the comedy.
