Government back dads attending ante-natal appointments

15 March 2005

Here’s the bad news: the government has (so far) declined to legislate to give fathers-to-be the right to attend ante-natal appointments. Here’s the good news: they’ve produced, instead ‘another leaflet’ – but what a leaflet! It’ called "Fathers-to-be and antenatal appointments: a good practice guide".

Sixteen pages, great photographs, great case studies, very persuasive, it’s written for the employers of expectant fathers. A great resource for expectant dads to hand their managers, it’s also a lovely resource to ‘something to give the dads’ at ante-natal. Order hard copies from the DTI’s website. Or you can download the booklet in pdf format by clicking the link below.
