Dads at School on TV
Dads at School: The Teachers’ TV cable channel will show a film on the Dads Matters group at Coopers Lane Primary in south London.
Headteacher, Steve Davies, explains: “We were approached as a result of the talk I did at the Fathers Direct conference last year. Mike Dick Promotions asked to come and do a piece for Teachers TV. Over a period of four to five months, Mike and his team got to know us and then they filmed dads who work voluntarily at the school and also filmed them at home working with their children. They then filmed the Dads Matters group in the local pub where we meet and finally interviewed a variety of dads as well as Tonia Pancucci (teacher responsible for Parent Liaison ) and myself. The programme is excellently made and really shows what we have achieved in such a short space of time in involving dads more in the whole life of our school.”
The programme will be on The Teachers TV Cable channel on 8th November 2005 at 12 noon.
